BREAKING NEWS: KILLING THE GAYS IN UGANDA

Finally, the "Kill The Gays" bill has been signed into law by the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni today, Monday. The bill makes homosexual relations a  crime, and attracts life imprisonment.

It is called "Kill The Gays" bill in the media circle because it was originally proposed in 2009 to carry the death sentence. However, it was passed without the death clause in December 2013, subjecting it to further study. This was due to pressures from the International community, especially, Britain which threatened to withdraw all aids to UGANDA. The President has been going back and forth on signing this bill. Last month he said, he would not sign the bill because gay people are "sick" people who needed help, not imprisonment".

But he further made investigations among scientists on the true nature of homosexuality, to know if there is a biological gene responsible for being gay. His finding is that "scientists had determined that there's no gene for homosexuality and it was merely abnormal behavior", and that is the reason he agreed to sign the bill today.

"It (homosexuality) was learned and could be unlearned," he said.

So, Homosexuality is illegal in Uganda and 37 other African countries, including Nigeria. In Uganda, the law is broadened to also criminalize Ugandan who practiced homosexuality in any other country,  asserting that they may be extradited for punishment back to Uganda. The law further stipulates "penalties for individuals, companies, media organisations, or non-governmental organisations that know of gay people or support LGBT rights. That means, no one is allowed to campaign for, or be sympathetic to the gays in Uganda.

During the signing and the announcementIt could be observed that President Yoweri Museveni, is still considerate of the Western Nations, probably, not wanting to lose the AIDS Ugandan gets from them, says the US should help in further works with the scientists to ascertain if gays are born gays. And he says the law could be reconsidered if such fact is established by the scientists.
