LIONEL MESSI IS FIFA BEST PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2019

For the 6^th time, Lionel Messi is Best FIFA Men's player of the year as he clinched the award at the Best FIFA awards 2019.

Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo were his closest competitors but records show that The Barcelona star scored more league goals than anyone else in Europe last season.

Messi 36 times as he helped the Spanish side win another La Liga title.

This latest award makes Messi one step ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, his greatest rival. Speaking after the award, Lionel Messi vows to help Barcelona bounce back.

HOW KHAFI WAS EVICTED FROM THE BIG BROTHER NAIJA TV SHOW

Yesterday was an eviction Sunday at the ongoing Big Brother Naija Reality TV show which saw UK Metro Police officer, Khafi Kareem booted out of the house.

Khafi seems to be excited leaving the house, or was it that she was feigning it? Those who think she is excited say it must be because she wants to go and meet Gedoni, her lover housemate who had been evicted weeks ago.

Khafi was really entertaining in the house and the show would surely miss her.

However, her stay was not without controversy. She is said to have had sex with Gedoni, her love mate who in one of the diary sessions said Khafi is a sex addict. But the two denied having sex on the show. Apparently, AENews gathered that it was another housemate, IKE who planted condom where Khafi and Gedoni had slept that night just to give an impression that they had sex. Could Ike be this mischievous?

Another controversy that trailed Khafi Kareem while in the house is that she left the Metro Police to the BBNaija show without proper permission. This her management denied and issued an ultimatum to the news media that published the story for an apology and retraction.

Well, it appears so. As it turns out yesterday, Ebuka revealed that IKE voted Khafi for eviction, and a playback video revealed, IKE had confessed that Khafi is a strong competitor to him. He has to see her out. 

MIKE, TACHA and SEYI were also up for eviction but got saved. 10 housemates are left in the house and there would be no eviction next Sunday.

Khafi reveals she would be moving from UK to Lagos to pursue a career as an actor or a TV Presenter. Guess she’s tired of Police work.

Her gains in the house include being Head of House, one million Naira prize and an INNOSON made in Nigeria car.

Robert Mugabe Dies

Ex-President of of Zimbabwe has died at the age of 95 in a hospital in Singapore where he has been receiving medical treatment since April.

His death was announced early this morning by his family and the Zimbabwean government. 


Mugabe was a freedom fighter who liberated his people from the oppression of white minority who ruled the then Rhodesia. While in Prison, he people chose him as their leader.

He later became the President in 1980 and held on to power till 2017 when he was ousted by the military after the rumour was rife that his wife, Grace, might succeed him.

 

XENOPHOBIA: Tiwa Savage Pulls Out of DSTV Festival in South Africa

It is no longer news that Nigerians have been the most affected in the several Xenophobic attacks in South Africa. This has been condemned by many and sundry but it seems tangible actions have not been seen by both the government of South Africa and Nigeria. 

 

 

As a result of this, Nigerian celebrities have started taking actions to send some signals to the South African government. 

Tiwa Savage, a top Nigerian singer has decided to boycott the DSTV Festival in which she has been slated to perform in Johannesburg, South Africa on the 21st of September 2019. This she made known in a tweet and many fans are commending her for this.
