The death of the former Vice President Chief Dr. Alex Ekwueme has been confirmed by the Family.
He died yesterday, Sunday the 19th of November 2017 in a London Hospital at 10PM.
The family head, who is also the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme said “Ekwueme family regrets to announce the peaceful passing away of their patriarch, the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON.
“The sad event occurred at the London Clinic at 10:00PM Sunday 19th November 2017.”

Chief Ekwueme was 85 years old. May his soul rest in Peace.
