Ojukwu Gone at last!

Former Biafran leader and leader of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu is died late last night.

He had been sick for a while and was receiving treatment at a united Kingdom (UK) hospital. Some months ago, rumour about his death has spread throughout the Eastern region, but was quickly dispelled by his wife, Bianca and the Governor of Anambra State, Gov Peter Obi. 

But a reliable source confirmed that  His death was confirmed in a statement by the family titled :DIM CHUKWUEMEKA ODUMEGWU-OJUKWU IS DEAD signed by Ojukwu’s son, Chukwuemeka.“After a protracted and brave fight against stroke, the People’s General, Ikemba Nnewi, Dikedioranma Ndigbo, Odenigbo Ngw,  Ezeigbo Gburugburu,  Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu died in the early hours of yesterday in London.

Sodipo Feyijinmi

The winner of 2011 Miss Nigeria Beauty pageant is Feyijinmi Sodipo, who represented Ogun State (Miss Ogun). The grand finale of the contest was held on the 18th of November 2011 at the EKO Hotel and Suites. It was hosted by the elegant communicator, Wunika Mukan, a graduate of Howard University who current is with the non-profitable organization -  The Elizabeth Glarer Pediatric AIDS Foundation and National Academy of Science, who after a great act of suspense, announced Sodipo as winner. It was to everyone's surprise, even the winner herself. Her mother couldn't conceal her shock, but she gives thanks to God in her brief speech. Feyijinmi Sodipo now enjoys the crown and the privileges of Miss Nigeria 2011. She is 21 and a student of German Studies. Her take away package include:
- Scholarship to study in any Higher Institution in the world .
- Luxury Car ,
- N3million as a year's emolument. 
- Free Wardrobe for one year from  Vlisco 2012 Collection.
- All expense paid trip to the Six Yards exhibition in Arnhem, Netherlands to be sponsored by Vlisco.

NIGERIA FASHION WEEK

The Nigeria Fashion Week has come and gone. The event was one of the best so far. This year, top designers showcased their designs with more creativity and glamour. The grand finale on Saturday, 19th November 2011 was witnessed by Miss Tourism 2011, Mr Nigeria 2011, Most Beautyful Girl in Nigeria 2011, Modela, Monu and Monu Fashion designer and many others. MUMA GEE'S WEDDING NO LONGER HOLDING ON THE 18TH

Many have been looking forward to the 18th of November 2011, the date for the wedding of the century. Muma Gee and her handsome Prince Eke, a Hollywood actor, had planned their white wedding for this day. But right now, it is confirmed that the wedding has been shifted to an unknown date. The reason for the postponement is that Muma Gee's Video album project should be completed. In a phone interview with Vanguard, she said the wedding is being put on hold to enable her complete the shooting of her new video, Port-Harcourt Is Back.

“When a new date is announced you will be the first to be told”.

However, speculations have been that the wedding may have been cancelled, that her Prince may have dumped her, but this she vehemently denounce, saying "The marriage would hold for sure,but my music career is also important to me.What we have done is that we shifted the date because we are shooting a new video of my album entitled,Port Harcourt is Back.

"The real story is that I am very busy,forget the rubbish people are saying. Even if I keep on receiving different calls asking me about the marriage, is it anybody’s business when I should get married?Is it not my marriage?"

When I am ready,I will get married.So there is no reason for people to keep asking me about it. "

MUMA GEE is the Rivers State-born singer, who has been making waves in cultural-oriented pop music and is known for her unique dressing in African styles. She has also renovated and upgraded her 6-bedroom duplex in PH to accomodate more studios and other facilities. This means a lot to her and her music carrier. BABA SUWE FREE AT LAST!

The Lagos State High Court, Ikeja has granted popular comedian,  Baba Suwe ( Babatunde Omidina)bail for N500,000 with one surety in like sum.

Justice Yetunde Idowu ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to release him on Friday, unless he excretes banned substances such as cocaine or heroin, which he is suspected to have ingested.

She also ordered the agency to hand over his international passport to the court’s Chief Registrar or his deputy, but however barred Baba suwe from travelling abroad.

"Justice Idowu asked Omidina’s counsel, Bamidele Aturu, to return on Friday to give a report on whether her order has been complied with or not. It is then she will fix a date for judgment in Omidina’s substantive N100 million suit."
