AY, the Comedian of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in one of his jokes had taken on Nollywood Star, Tonto Dike. He had likened one of her December dresses to the Calabar Carnival dresses. This obviously did not go down well with the screen diva. She took on him on his twitter page and it got to a point of insolence. AY tried to apologize but Tonto wants none of his. Dimeji Bankole discharged and Acquitted from 16-count charge!

Dimeji Bankole - Freed

Mr. Dimeji Bankole, who had been facing trial for contract inflation and embezzlement to the tune of N874 million has been freed by a High Court sitting in Abuja. Bankole, who was the Speaker for the House of Rep., was accused of stealing public fund and inflating the cost of Federal Government contracts by the EFCC who brought 16-count charge against him just after his tenure. He was nicknamed, "Bank-Ole" (Bank Thief) by mischievous media people and some Nigerians. But now he has been discharged and acquitted. Justice Evoh Chukwu said the EFCC lawyers, led by Festus Keyamo, failed "woefully" Festus Keyamo, “failed woefully” to establish a prima facie case against the ex-Speaker. The offences were contrary to section 58 (4) (a), (b) and (e) of the Public Procurement Act (PPA) and attract a minimum of five years and maximum of 10 years imprisonment.

Ladoja on the other hand will be facing the court, which has ordered the trial of the former Governor of Oyo State who had gone to the Appeal Court begging it to quash the N4.7 billion money laundering charge brought against him by the EFCC. The Appellate Court ordered the former governor to go the lower court to face trial, holding that "the EFCC has the power to prosecute Ladoja under the Money Laundering Prohibition Act 2004"

The photo, which unveils the Afro- Caribbean bombshell, wearing an African Ankara Head Wrap, bra-less with nothing else but endlessly amount of Necklaces around her neck, who's beauty resonates very much so with Legendary Brazilian Singer Carmen Miranda's famous portrait.

Combining admiration and aspiration, is what Miss-K's talented fan,who is a Nigerian Drawing Artist known as "Solomon-The-Artist",was inspired by, using a graphite pencil technique,treating Miss-k's image in a very delicate way, making sure this drawing remains iconic...saying:" It was my Valentine Gift to Miss-K, whom i adore so much. I used my own realism technique to draw her portrait that is hopefully as entertaining as Miss-k herself,which i created purely by hand on a simple piece of paper, which took me a whole night and day, but it was all worth it.Anything to make her happy".

MAN MARRIES DOG IN CALIFORNIA, USA.

While we were still baffled about Same-sex marriage around the world, though becoming an accepted norm in some western states, the world is hit with another wonderment as a church in San Francisco, CA the Chapel of Our Lady at the Presidio joins a man and a male dog together in “holy” matrimony. This is the first-ever state recognized human-animal marriage.

The couple consisted of 35-year-old Mr. Paul Horner, the groom, and MAC, his faithful dog who is 36-years-old (in dog years). Mac could be seen at the wedding wearing a white veil beside her “husband” and before priest who performed the wedding rites. The clergyman, Father McHale, who officiated the joining of the couple said to news reporters that he was extremely happy to be a part the historical occasion. In his words: “This is the definition of true love my friends. There is nothing more sacred than the bond between a man and his faithful dog.” Now, since it is recognized as a legally binding marriage in the state of California, Mr. Horner and Mac will have all the same tax benefits and everything else coming to them that a regular married couple would receive. It’s a fantastic day to be alive!”

Many expressed dismay at the happening. How can the government of California legalize such union? But the law being quoted in support of this wedding dates back to 1850. California’s State Laws and Regulations had asserted a little known law that was passed when the state was being formed in 1850. The article 155, paragraph 10, states:

“If a man and a man can get married and a woman and a woman can get married, if ever comes that day, then a human and animal will have the exact same rights to marriage in every eye of the law. God help us if this ever is to happen!”


It seemed, as at then, that the founding law makers did not imagine that there could ever come a time when a man would want to be married to an animal. But the days are here, and Horner (a human being) is now married to Mac (an animal, a dog). And funny enough, he was not standing alone at the altar during the wedding. Present and in full attendance was his entire family who had flown from Hawaii to witness the wedding. The dog, Mac on the other hand also had the presence of her puppies to be grateful for. Also, there was a special celebrity appearance by Alex from Stroh’s and Spuds Mckenzie.


The excited groom shares his feelings, thus: “I just love my Mac so much, I can’t wait till we can finally get back to the honeymoon suite in Montana where bestiality is legal. Gosh, get with the times California! We can marry here just fine, but love making is a big no-no.”


Mr. Horner further said that, “People keep asking me why I wanted to marry a dog. I told them I just want the same god given rights that every person in California is allowed to have. Don’t tell me I can’t marry my dog. I don’t tell you that you can’t marry a 500 lb woman with gas issues. That’s your decision. Don’t tread on me. I love my dog and I know he loves me a hundred times more than any gay wedding out there.”

So, that was the story of the first man-animal wedding. Should we say, “Happy Married Life” to this couple? With this, we can be sure many would follow in Horner’s footstep. And who knows what else in on the way to challenge God’s moral law on matrimony in this our delinquent, putrefying world. May God help us!

This day, the 24th of January 2014 will remain in the minds of the African Scandinavian dwellers as they witness the migration of the African Talking Drums into Europe.

The cultural presentation which draws the activities of the Professional Photographic/Lithographers Association in Finland, and chaired by Olalekan Smart Oladepo, was not just  any presentation but one by the Finland group of the Nigerian late prophet, Prophet Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, the Afrobeat legend.

On this special event of the celebration of the life of Nelson Mandela, organized by the Scadaa Ry in Finland, an Appeal by the African Youths in diaspora was through a message to our African leaders back home to come out of selfishness in leadership and promote equality, feminism, good education, better health care facilities, urban/rural roads, good drinking water, agriculture & better security services.

On a chart with the South African Ambassador to Finland, the chairman of the Scandinavian Development Aid to Africa. //Skandinavian KehitysApu Afrikalle promised to provide man-power in any given capacity to any African nation that wishes to embark on a developmental projects ranging from flood control, constructions, soft-ware engineers and training of teachers/medical hands.

The ceremony ended with a uniform chants of ''Africa Together We Can''.

FATHER U-TURN DIES AT 36

So pathetic how we lost Father U-Turn to Kidney related illness. He was reported dead on Sunday, 17th of November, 2013 after spending 10 days in a local hospital.

This guy rose from poverty as an orphan, built a successful career as a songwriter, recording artiste, TV presenter and performer. He was only 36 years old, with a wife and five children who would have to feel the pain of fatherlessness for the rest of their lives.

Father U Turn was from Kabba-Bunu in Kogi State. That was where he started as a radio and TV presenter.

Later he got a deal with Ultima Records where Nelson Brown produced his first album which was adjudged successful. Two hit songs, ‘African Culture‘ and ‘Shakara‘ threw him into national limelight. In his music career, he had worked with Daddy Showkey, Daddy Fresh and Pasuma who featured in the hit single “Yetunde”.

So painful, and i keep wondering what's going on with people's kidney these days?

Halloween is a holiday celebrated on the night of October 31.  The word Halloween is a shortening of All Hallows' Evening also known as Hallowe'en or All Hallows' Eve.

The history of Halloween has evolved.  The activity is popular in the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, and due to increased American cultural influence in recent years, imported through exposure to US television and other media, trick-or-treating has started to occur among children in many parts of Europe, and in the Saudi Aramco camps of Dhahran, Akaria compounds and Ras Tanura in Saudi Arabia. The most significant growth and resistance is in the United Kingdom, where the police have threatened to prosecute parents who allow their children to carry out the "trick" element. In continental Europe, where the commerce-driven importation of Halloween is seen with more skepticism, numerous destructive or illegal "tricks" and police warnings have further raised suspicion about this game and Halloween in general.

THE RETURN OF A SERIAL LOOTER

A leopard never changes its skin, they say. Gist is agog that the erstwhile Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Dr. Ahmed Modibbo Mohammed is presently scheming to return to the ‘juicy’ position of Executive Secretary again in the same parastatal, an office he left nearly a year ago after serving a full tenure of five years.


If you recall, on the 11th of May 2010, a US based online media outfit, Sahara-reporters, gave details of the multi-billion-naira scam spearheaded by the erstwhile Executive Secretary


The media establishment alleged that the then, UBEC boss and his then newly-wedded wife, Aishatu Dahiru Mohammed, operating as the leader of a syndicate, used phony companies “to skim off billions of naira earmarked for the running of Nigerian primary and junior secondary schools.”


Going further, Sahara reporters said that Apart from his criminal record as a serial looter, Modibbo also has a reputation of being a master schemer. Sahara reporters gave details of how he wangled his way to become the UBEC boss despite his bad antecedent at his previous job as the boss the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) and the fact that his point of entry into the commission fell short of the requisite requirements of a degree or certificate in education.


The erstwhile UBEC boss is also alleged to be in the vanguard of staunch supporters of known enemies of the Goodluck Jonathan administration. It is believed that he is using part of the money he stole from the coffers of these parastatals to give financial support to the presidential ambition of some opposition parties’ flag-bearers. This is aside other reports alleging that a large chunk of the stolen billions from the UBEC coffers may have been diverted to the self-acclaimed Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram which has killed hundreds of thousands of Nigerians in cold blood.


This is why it is so shocking that modibbo who some media outfits gave graphic details of how he spent millions of naira to support arch-enemies of President Goodluck Jonathan's) political ambition can be thinking of making a return to office under the same Jonathan.


We are reliably informed that he had recruited the support of some of his ‘loyalists’ in high places of power who partook in the loot of his over N50 Billion during his 12 Years reign as head of two Education support Agencies, plundering the resources of these two outfits namely the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), or how can one explain the underground moves some of his northern godfathers had been engaging in, purportedly appealing and lobbying the president on his behalf.


How can one comprehend the gist that Dr. Modibbo is still interested in returning to the position after all the atrocities he had been accused of?
